I shot this video while I was shopping at the St Laurent Shopping Mall at 1200 St Laurent Boulevard in Ottawa, you can reach them by phone @ 613-745-6858.
If you are not familiar with the mall it is about 10 minutes driving distance from the downtown area of the city of Ottawa and is located just off the St Laurent exit on the queensway and St. Laurent Boulevard. I use the queensway to get their quickly by car. I like it because it has plenty of outdoor parking and I can get to the mall easily by bus as well as it is on the main OC Transpo transitway. The two main department stores located at the mall are Sears and the Bay or Hudsons Bay Company as it was earlier called.
Other features the mall has is plenty of chairs and tables located in the center isle of the mall for people to be able to sit down and rest. I also like the skylights in the ceiling that allows for natural sunlight making the mall very nice to walk around and browse stores.
Other stores in the st-laurent shopping mall include Aldo, Baskin Robbins, Dairy Queen, Danier Leather, CIBC st-laurent Bank, Dell Direct Store, Blacks Camera, The Source, Club Monaco, GAP stores, Jacob, Japan Camera, La Senza, Laurier Optical, Mexx Kids, Motherhood Maternity, a Dollar Store, and many restaurants including a sit down restaurant East Side Marios (One of my favorite restaurants), and a food fair including Tim Hortons, Subway and Yogen Fruz, an fast food Pizza restaurant and more.
Local Attractions, Hotels and Restaurants near the St Laurent Shopping Mall
If you are visiting Ottawa as a local tourist or traveller there are nearby hotels and attractions you can find for kids and the whole family. Within about ten blocks of the shopping mall, further south on St laurent boulevard you can find the Canada Science and Technology Museum located at 1867 St Laurent Boulevard, and Midway Family Fun Park located at 2370 Lancaster Road, which offers lots of indoor and outdoor attractions for kids and the whole family.
You can also reserve party rooms and party packages for kids birthday parties, and corporate events etc. A great place for kids is Cosmic Adventures located at 1373 Ogilvie Road just down the street from the shopping mall. IMPORTANT NOTE: Parents, make sure you watch your children at all times while at Cosmic Adventures as larger kids can be dangerous to smaller children. Other attractions include a Movie Theater on Ogilvie road just down the street from the shopping mall as well. Also on Ogilvie road just blocks from St laurent shopping mall includes the City of Ottawa Splash Wave Pool at 2040 Ogilvie Road which offers public swimming, a wave pool, a heated hot tub pool and children's pool.

Perkins Restaurant right across the street from the mall which is a great place for having breakfast with a wide breakfast menu. Other restaurants include a Rockin Johnies Diner, a Boston Pizza just down the street on St Laurent boulevard, a McDonalds restaurant, a Tim Hortons sit down and drive through restaurant, and Burger King restaurant further south on St Laurent Boulevard and if you take a drive down Ogilvie Road in Gloucester you will find another East Side Marios, a starbucks coffee shop and Montana's sit down restaurant.
